The official notification confirms the DBT method and Aadhaar-linked bank-account requirement. Exact payment timing can vary, so this page does not promise a specific credit date.
Quick answer: ₹3,000 not credited
If the Annapurna Yojana ₹3,000 has not reached your bank, do not assume rejection from the missing payment alone. Start by checking your application through the official Track Applicant Status route.
The scheme notification states that eligible beneficiaries receive ₹3,000 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the Aadhaar-linked bank account in the beneficiary's name.
Check these in order
- 1Check application statusUse the official status tracker first. If the case is Under Enquiry or Rejected, the issue is still at the application stage rather than only at the bank stage.
- 2Check the correct bank accountReview bank SMS alerts, passbook entries or the bank's official app for the Aadhaar-linked account intended to receive DBT.
- 3Confirm the account is active and Aadhaar-linkedAsk your bank to confirm the intended account is active and correctly linked with Aadhaar for receiving government DBT.
- 4Recheck tracker remarksAn approved result can later show a remark or case-specific issue; use the latest government status, not an old screenshot.
- 5Escalate through the responsible officeIf the application is approved but the payment remains missing, take the acknowledgement and bank details to the BDO, SDO or KMC/municipal office handling the case.
Status first, payment second
| Application status | What the missing payment probably means for your next step |
|---|---|
| Under Enquiry / Under Verification | Verification is still incomplete; follow the Under Enquiry guide. |
| Rejected / Ineligible | Resolve the application issue first; use the rejected application guide. |
| Approved / Sanctioned | Check bank/DBT details and contact the responsible office if no credit appears. |
| No status available | Fix the tracking problem before diagnosing payment; use status check problems. |
Payment delay is not the same as rejection
Indian Express Bengali reported complaints in Howrah after the 17 September instalment-release event, including cases still pending verification or bank credit. That is why the bank balance alone is not a reliable application-status checker.
Use two separate checks:
- Government tracker: tells you the application stage.
- Bank account: tells you whether the DBT credit has actually arrived.
What to take to the office if payment is missing
If you need an in-person follow-up, take only the documents needed for legitimate verification and keep originals secure. Useful records include your application acknowledgement/reference, identity documents used in the application and evidence of the relevant bank account. Ask the office for the case-specific reason rather than paying a middleman.
What not to do
- Do not pay anyone to “release” a DBT payment.
- Do not share an OTP with a caller or WhatsApp account claiming to be a government agent.
- Do not enter bank credentials on an unofficial status website.
- Do not submit a duplicate application just because one payment is delayed.
