This guide was rechecked on 27 September 2026 against the current Government of West Bengal Annapurna Yojana portal, and the state scheme page. Portal labels can change, so use the official links for the final result for your own application.
Quick answer: how to check Annapurna Bhandar status
Open the official Government of West Bengal Annapurna Yojana portal at socialregistry.wb.gov.in and choose Citizen / Family Login.
The current public portal offers Citizen / Family Login for status and grievances; Department Officer Login is restricted to authorised staff.
The state scheme page separately lists socialregistry.wb.gov.in for online applications. In short:
| What you want to do | Official route |
|---|---|
| Track application status | Official Annapurna / Social Registry portal; follow current public options |
| Apply / family-level data collection | socialregistry.wb.gov.in |
| Confirm scheme rules | West Bengal official Annapurna Yojana scheme page |
| Check department notices | WCD & SW administrative notices |
Step-by-step status check
- 1Open the official Annapurna portalGo directly to socialregistry.wb.gov.in and confirm that the domain ends in .gov.in.
- 2Look for public applicant statusUse only the public tracking route offered on the official government portal; do not use an office-only login.
- 3Enter the details requestedUse the same registered mobile/application information connected with the original application.
- 4Complete the official verificationComplete CAPTCHA or any verification shown on the government page. Never share an OTP with another person.
- 5Read the exact status and remarksNote or screenshot the exact wording because the next step depends on the status shown for your case.
What common status labels mean
The government portal can change its wording and does not publish a permanent glossary for every possible status. These are practical interpretations of commonly used labels; the exact remark shown for your application is more important.
| Status | Practical meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted / Received | The application has been recorded but the final process is not complete. | Keep your acknowledgement and recheck later. |
| Under Enquiry / Under Verification | Official verification or recommendation is still pending. | Do not treat it as final rejection. |
| Approved / Sanctioned | The application has cleared the approval/sanction stage shown by the system. | Check the bank separately for DBT credit. |
| Rejected / Ineligible | The system has recorded an eligibility or verification problem. | Read the exact reason and contact the responsible office if review/correction is needed. |
| No record / unavailable | Details may not match, digitisation may be incomplete, or the tracker may be temporarily unavailable. | Recheck details and contact the relevant office if it persists. |
What happens after submission?
The official Annapurna Yojana process includes enquiry and verification before final sanction. Depending on the area, BDO, SDO or KMC officials are involved in verification/recommendation, followed by the designated sanctioning authority.
This is why a successfully submitted application can continue to show Under Enquiry or a similar verification status for some time.
If your application is still under enquiry:
- keep the application acknowledgement/reference safely;
- keep the mandatory Aadhaar, EPIC/Voter ID and active mobile details available for legitimate verification;
- avoid submitting duplicate applications only because the status has not changed;
- contact the responsible BDO, SDO or KMC/municipal office if the case remains unchanged after the local verification process.
See the dedicated Under Enquiry guide for more detail.
Approved but ₹3,000 not received
The official state scheme page still lists the Annapurna benefit as ₹3,000 per month for each eligible beneficiary. Approval on the tracker does not necessarily mean the bank credit has already completed.
If the application is approved but no credit is visible:
- Check bank SMS alerts, passbook entries or the bank's official app.
- Confirm that the intended beneficiary account is active and suitable for receiving DBT.
- Recheck the official applicant tracker for any new remark.
- If approval remains visible but payment is still missing, contact the relevant BDO/SDO/KMC office with the acknowledgement and bank details for case-specific guidance.
Do not treat a missing credit alone as proof of rejection. See the Payment Not Received guide.
If the application is rejected
Do not pay anyone who claims they can “unlock” or privately change the status.
- Note the exact rejection/ineligibility message shown by the official system.
- Compare the application with the official eligibility and mandatory-document rules.
- Keep the acknowledgement, Aadhaar, EPIC and any relevant supporting records ready.
- Ask the responsible BDO/SDO/KMC or municipal office for the official correction/review process for that specific reason.
Status not showing or portal not working
Start by confirming you are using the correct official portal. The current public applicant-status entry point is on socialregistry.wb.gov.in.
If the page does not work:
- confirm the address ends in .gov.in;
- refresh and retry if CAPTCHA or the tracker fails to load;
- use the same details submitted in the original application;
- if you applied offline and no record appears, contact the office where the form was submitted;
- do not create repeated new applications merely because the tracker is temporarily unavailable.
